GAINESVILLE, FL -- A man who helped create some of the most innovative photographic military technology is now in North Central Florida.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Some of the details have been lost to time, but ask Hill Brannon about his first Florida football game, and he still winces at the outcome.

Bob Rose recalled that being a teen fresh out of high school and about to join the U.S. Coast Guard, not much bothered him. “I was too young to have fears,” he said. “Back then, we had no fear.”

Shompa Mazumder had never painted before she moved into The Village retirement community in Gainesville 15 months ago and tried an art class.

If social networking and group engagement are factors in living a healthy life at any age, Marion Hylton is contributing to both.
