Memory Care in Gainesville, FL

At The Village at Gainesville, we understand that the effects of memory loss reach far beyond the person living with this diagnosis. They affect the entire family. With that in mind, we have developed memory care that wraps its arms around everyone – featuring care for your loved one along with support and peace of mind for you.

Our Approach

Our team of professionals is committed to enriching the lives of the seniors we serve throughout each level of care, and our memory care services do just that.

Combining the Botes Memory Method developed by dementia specialist Sira Botes and the Positive Approach to Care® (PAC), a leading educator on dementia and its care, memory care at The Village at Gainesville delivers individualized personal care.

With memory support caregivers trained in both methods, we are able to provide the utmost in care and support to our residents with various forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease, Lewy body dementia, and more. Find out more about these programs and what they have to offer below.

The Botes Memory Method

The Botes Memory Method by Sira Botes redefines dementia care by focusing on everyone affected by memory loss – the residents, their families, and the caregivers.

This approach wraps arms of support around them all, providing personalized care and meaningful activities for the residents, education and guidance for the families, and advanced training for associates.

With our expertly trained partners at Concierge Home Care, we coordinate a careful assessment of the new resident and consult with the family physician. The assessment determines the resident’s highest, safest cognitive level, and a personalized care plan for the resident and everyone involved in their care is developed according to their needs and abilities.

The Botes Memory Method is the preferred dementia partner for residents of The Village at Gainesville and their families. We are honored to offer an in-person memory support group and a virtual opportunity.

Positive Approach to Care® (PAC)

The Positive Approach to Care® (PAC) focuses on a person’s retained abilities versus the abilities that have been lost. We place people before tasks and nurture relationships that recognize the importance of privacy, choice, dignity, purpose, and the involvement of family and friends.
