To all the staff members at The Village who kept the community up and running during Hurricane Hermine: Thank you.
The small sum given during the holidays can in no way match your dedication to your residents. I wish I could remember each of you in this letter of thanks. I arrived around 8:15 a.m., 9/2/16, to bring something to my mom, who is in Lake House.
While part of the electricity was out, my mom informed me that breakfast had been served on time. Thank you.
While with my mom, a caregiver dropped by to check on her. Thank you!
When my mom needed to find a working electrical outlet for her nebulizer, she asked a maintenance person for help. He came to her room and found one. Thank you!
I am amazed that staff was sufficient on such an inclement morning. You have hired and kept dedicated individuals on staff. I wish we could personally reward them, but my sincere appreciation and humble gratitude is all I can express to you. May each of you feel blessed for the care you extend to each resident and know you are appreciated.
With sincere thanks,
