At The Village, we’re continually soliciting residents’ opinions so that we can improve their retirement experience in every way — and that certainly extends to our dining services. We conducted a residents’ focus group to learn what they want and expect from our dining services. Their valuable feedback led to the creation of Signature Series.
This enhanced dining program offers residents an expanded menu and completely new look. Special Village Favorites dishes rotate on the menu every two weeks. Daily Menu items include daily soup selections, a chef-inspired and a heart-healthy entrée, and three changing vegetable accompaniments.
Heart-healthy menu items offer less sodium and cholesterol, without skimping on taste and flavor. And residents with specific dietary requirements can now request daily menu items be prepared plain, with sauces on the side, or without salt or butter.
And our newly formed Resident Food Committee helps enhance the dining experience by acting as a liaison between residents and our Dining Services.

Chef Cary Wolfson
Dining Services Director of Culinary Operations
Chef Wolfson is a native New Yorker and a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. He brings more than 30 years of culinary experience to The Village, having worked as the executive chef of the New York Stock Exchange, New York University and the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
Dining Services Executive Sous Chef
Executive sous chef Rebecca Keller attended the Florida Culinary Institute in Palm Beach, Florida, which led her to classic culinary training. She worked in a variety of independent restaurants for nine years before joining the Dining Services chefs at The Village.
